Donna and I have been married since 1976 and have developed a symbiotic relationship with our waking hours.  This is especially true when we are on holiday.  I can not sleep and find that I have to wake the sun up. On the other hand, she needs more sleep and is not a morning person.

We found a perfect setup – I wake up and leave our accommodations to explore the nearby area.  Sometimes by foot, sometimes by car.  Depending on sunlight hours, I could be gone for two to three hours.  Most often, I return after she’s had her morning shower and is good to go.

I especially love the morning light, but there is opportunity in every light condition. Even in bad weather! My other discovery is that every place is special in its own way.
